PASETA Launches in Namibia, Expanding Its Pan-African Education Vision
PASETA will officially launch its Namibia chapter in Windhoek on 2 May, marking a significant milestone in the organisation’s expanding continental presence and its commitment to African-centred education and sustainable development.
The launch brings together stakeholders from across the continent to witness the establishment of another African school rooted in land, knowledge, and community. PASETA Namibia forms part of the organisation’s broader vision to strengthen education systems that are locally grounded, environmentally conscious, and responsive to Africa’s social and economic realities.
A Return to the Soil of Our First Promise
The launch programme will take the form of a gala dinner, symbolically returning guests to the soil of our first promise. This theme reflects land as the foundation of African identity, learning, and continuity. The evening will honour the enduring relationship between soil, sustenance, and education, reinforcing the belief that Africa’s future is cultivated through care, knowledge, and collective responsibility.
Grounded Education for African Futures
Speaking ahead of the event, PASETA leadership noted that the expansion into Namibia represents a return to foundational principles— education that begins with the ground, honours indigenous knowledge systems, and equips young people to shape their futures with dignity and agency.

The Windhoek launch also signals PASETA’s intention to deepen cross-border collaboration, reinforcing education as a shared continental responsibility.
